Columbia Dining welcomes Chef Chris Scott of Butterfunk Biscuit Co. for the Meet & Eat series. Chef Scott visited John Jay on February 7 to sample his signature biscuit sandwiches and fried biscuit donuts.
Chef Chris Scott is known for his signature soul food with a twist. Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Chef Scott was inspired by his grandmother’s southern flavors and the German / Dutch cuisine of the Amish community around him.
A graduate of the French Culinary Institute, Chef Scott has cooked James Beard Foundation dinners, prepared dishes for President Obama and Prime Minister Tony Blair, and appeared on Top Chef. In Fall 2022, he released first cookbook, Homage.
