Columbia Dining Chef Manager Donald Bartlett Recognized in Food Management’s: Chefs Who Made a Difference

We are thrilled by Chef Don’s recognition in Food Management’s list of 21 college and university chefs who made a difference over the past year. More than 600 chefs from organizations across the country were nominated for this honor.
You probably know him as the inspiration for Chef Don’s Pizza Pi, but Chef Don also manages Chef Mike’s Sub Shop and our four on-campus retail locations. Don is a long-standing member of the Columbia Dining culinary team, overseeing retail units since 2009. He is recognized as a Foodservice Hero for his role in the 2022 opening of Chef Mike’s Sub Shop and the 2023 opening of Chef Don’s Pizza Pi. Chef Don has worked tirelessly to help the Columbia Dining program expand to meet its evolving needs and has become a favorite among its students. We’re grateful to have Chef Don as part of our incredible team!
