Meet the Newest Truck on the Block: Johnny’s

With Fac Shack returning to its former location in Wien Courtyard, we knew we needed another truck on campus to continue serving up delicious grab-and-go lunch and dinner options. Brought to you by the culinary team at John Jay: come get your bowl on at Johnny’s, opening for spring service on January 21 at the John Jay Gate! 

What’s on the Menu 

For lunch, we’ll serve a rotating menu of truckin’ delicious, bowl-based dishes inspired by different global cuisines. Think: fresh Mediterranean quinoa bowls with feta, roasted red peppers and herby chicken; spicy Korean bibimbap rice bowls with ground beef and pickled veggies; and so much more! 

So...why bowls? Bowls offer infinite flavor combinations, and we think that’s just bowl-tiful. Plus, they’re convenient for on-the-go dining. 

For dinner, we’ll serve burritos like the ones you’ve come to know and love from last semester at Fac Shack.

Here’s the Deal 

For one meal swipe, you get: 

  • One traditional or vegan entrée bowl (lunch) or burrito (dinner) 
  • One piece of fruit 
  • One dessert 

A water station will be available at the truck. Bring your own reusable bottle or grab a compostable to-go cup with your meal. 

When We’re Open 

Johnny’s opens for spring service on January 21. Lunch service will be available Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., and dinner service will be available Thursday – Saturday, 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.
