Every comment in our annual survey, every text sent to individual units, and every message to our online feedback form is read by a member of our team. Based on your feedback, we've made some changes to our program - we hope you find them as exciting as we do!

Faculty House is Coming Back

You told us that you love Faculty House… so Faculty House is here to stay! We have other exciting Faculty House changes in the works as well, including: 

  • Serving coffee and other beverages in addition to water 

  • Extended hours, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday

Note: Dining will move to the second floor of Faculty House.

Chef Mike's Sub Shop

We know how much you love the subs at Chef Mike's Sub Shop, so we made more ways for you to enjoy them.

Chef Mike's Sub Shop Express

You asked for more to-go options, and we heard you: we're opening Chef Mike's Sub Shop Express! You'll still get the Chef Mike Sub Shop deal - one sub, one dessert, one snack, one cup of a soup, and one drink for one swipe - but everything will be pre-packaged for quick grab-and-go. There'll be a separate line for Express, so you can get in-and-out in no time at all.

Open for Dinner

You asked for more options for dinner dining, and we heard you: Chef Mike's Sub Shop will be open until 10pm, Monday-Friday, to help with dinner service! Plus, we're moving the menus online to our website so you can see all your dinner options in one spot.

More Seats at John Jay

You asked for more seats and we heard you: we've added more seats to bring us up to the maximum occupancy limit as set by NYC building codes. Plus, the King's Table room in John Jay is a great alternative when the main dining hall is filled up.

Late-Night Dining at JJ's

You asked for dining service after 10pm, and we heard you: JJ's will be open until 1 a.m. every day!

Soup On the Go

You told us that you want to be able to grab just a cup of soup, and we heard you: you can get a cup to go from our Blue Java locations at Lerner, Mudd, and Uris.

Menu Updates 

  • Chex and Cheerio’s have been added to our cereal selection for those who would prefer a non-sugary option 

  • Black beans are available on request for JJ’s quesadillas 

  • Gluten-free cookies and brownies are available everyday at the John Jay gluten-free station 

  • Vegan breakfast meats are available daily: Beyond sausage patties at Ferris and Beyond sausage links at John Jay
