Fall 2026 Operating Hours

Fall hours and the Barnard Exchange begin on Tuesday, September 8. Modified hours for Labor Day are effective September 4-7.

Not sure you've selected the right Dining Plan for you? From September 8 - September 22, students are invited to change their Dining Plan.

Columbia Dining is working with its food suppliers to closely monitor domestic cases of cyclosporiasis. Food safety is a critical priority for our team. Based on initial information from the FDA, we can confirm that our food supplier does not purchase from the vendors identified in the current investigation. 

Starting on Sunday, August 30, Columbia Dining will offer meal service to new students and students supporting NSOP programming.

Dining service will operate on a modified schedule over the Labor Day holiday from Friday, September 4 - Monday, September 7. Fall operating hours and the Barnard Exchange will begin on Tuesday, September 8.

It's the food you know and love, just in a different location. Stop by the Faculty House 4th floor Skyline Room between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, for a gourmet meal to-go.

The team in Columbia Dining is dedicated to good food, good service, and good times. The start of this academic year has been a challenging one. We want to share the immediate steps we are taking to address lines, congestion in the dining halls, and longer wait times for food.   

Open daily from 11:30 a.m. -  9 p.m., Chef Mike’s Market is perfect when you’re short on time but still looking for the foods you know and love from Columbia Dining.

Ramadan begins Monday, April 12. Starting Sunday, April 11, students with a Dining Plan who observe Ramadan may pick up meals to-go at John Jay Dining Hall or JJ’s Place.

We are excited to share that Columbia Dining will operate during Summer 2021 Term A and B! When completing the Columbia University Housing application, students who will attend Summer Term A or Summer Term A and B may choose to sign up for one of the Dining Plans outlined below.

Despite an unprecedented academic year, the departments within Columbia University Campus Services committed to providing above-and-beyond care. To make the transition to campus as smooth as possible, particularly for those students observing a travel or testing quarantine, Campus Services delivered key items to residence halls during the Check-In and beginning period of each term.
