Melanie Haller

Melanie Haller joined the Columbia Dining team as an Assistant Manager in November 2025. In her role, she focuses on hospitality, getting to know the students, and ensuring they have a smooth and memorable dining experience. Before coming to Columbia, she helped open The Mermaid Inn on the Upper West Side and worked at Thomas Keller's Per Se. Melanie holds an associate degree in Arts & Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies. Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Melanie is a true foodie who enjoys cooking at home, experiencing new restaurants with friends, and watching cooking competition shows.
