We’ve heard our Dining Plan Holders ask for more space, more options, and more Columbia Dining, and we’re thrilled to deliver. Starting Fall 2023, Columbia Dining will partner to operate two new locations at Teachers College: Grace Dodge Dining Hall and Blue Java Everett Café, as well as an Avenue C Micro Market.
“Extending our service to these new locations is a natural next step for the Columbia Dining portfolio. It’s a pleasure to bring our expertise in campus dining to Teachers College and to welcome their students into our dining family,” announces Scott Wright, Vice President for Campus Services.
About the Locations
Under Columbia Dining’s culinary leadership, Grace Dodge Dining Hall, located in the lower level of Grace Dodge Hall, will offer all-you-care-to-eat dining with a full servery and 100+ capacity seating area with Monday-Friday operating hours. The daily menu will include grill specials like banh mi sandwiches and tacos, vegan and vegetarian paninis, grilled cheese, and breakfast quesadillas, and a made-to-order salad bar. Similar to other Columbia Dining locations, Grace Dodge Dining Hall will accept meal swipes, Dining Dollars, Flex, credit card and Emergency Meal Fund tickets.
Blue Java Everett Café will add another option to Columbia Dining’s convenient retail service locations. Offering a full complement of espresso beverages, coffee, tea, pastries, and grab-and-go items, Blue Java Everett Café will bring added convenience to your dining experience. Operating hours will be posted over the summer. Blue Java Everett Café will accept Dining Dollars, Flex, and credit card.
The Avenue C Micro Market will be stocked with fresh, healthy meals like salads, sandwiches, noodle bowls, snacks and more. Open 24/7, the market is a great option for a quick meal any time of day. Students will be able to use their Flex, Dining Dollars or credit card to make purchases from the market.
“We’re delighted to expand our dining service for the campus community,” says Vicki Dunn, Assistant Vice President of Columbia Dining. “It’s going to be the Columbia Dining you know and love – good food, good service, and good fun – extending operations on the Morningside campus to the Teachers College address.”
